Georgeham Climate Plan

The Big EV/PV event.

11am-3pm Saturday 1st July 2023  – Croyde Village Hall.

Thinking about getting some Solar PV panels on your roof?

Contemplating adding a battery to your PV system?

Wondering whether you should go electric for your next vehicle?

In the hospitality business and want to instal chargers for your guests?

Then come along to our event on Saturday 1st July where you can get advice from local installers of PV panels and battery systems, talk with local electric car owners, see some of the latest electric vehicles on the market, find out about commercial chargepoints, and hear about grants and loans that can help with the finances.

Local PV and battery installers Andy Hill and Mahmoud Almary will be on hand to explain the ins and outs of installing Solar PV panels on your roof and the benefit of adding a battery.

Local EV owners will be on hand with models including the Fiat 500E, a second hand Tesla model 3, and a Cupra Born, so you can quiz them on their experiences. You will also be able to see the latest Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 from Hyundai and talk to Devonshire Motors about cost, range, and finance.

And for commercial enquiries, Econnetiq are a locally owned commercial chargepoint installer who can explain the costs and benefits of providing chargepoints for visitors.

361 Community Energy will be there with advice about energy saving and the potential for community energy schemes.

If you would love to instal PV but haven’t got the cash then Lendology CIC may have the answer. They work with all the local councils to provide 4% interest loans for solar PV/battery installations. Anyone can apply and loans are repayable for periods up to 15 years. The annual savings in electricity bills will help to cover the repayments. Lendology will be at the event to provide further details and advice.

The Georgeham Climate Plan is being developed by Georgeham Parish Council with financial support from the National Lottery Community Fund.
